Georgi Samandov

Deputy Energy Minister

Georgi Samandov was born on 7 June 1988. He graduated from Foreign Language High School "Academic Lyudmil Stoyanov" in Blagoevgrad. He holds a Master's degree in “Electricity and electrical equipment” from Sofia Technical University. In December 2013, he became Director of Energy markets in an energy company. Prior to that Samandov had taken the positions of sales executive and energy engineer in companies from the energy sector.  2021, he was appointed caretaker Deputy Energy Minister.

He speaks English, German and Russian.

Organizes, manages and controls the activities of the Directorates "Management of Public Enterprises in the Energy Sector", "Security of Energy Supply and Crisis Management" (in the part performed by the Department "Security in Nuclear Energy"). Coordinates the activities of the State Enterprise "Radioactive Waste".
