Energy Thematic Group of the Energy Board holds its first meeting

The Energy Thematic Group of the Energy Board held its first meeting in MEE, chaired by the Deputy Minister of Economy Anton Pavlov. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Electricity System Operator (ESO), the National Electricity Company (NEC), Indipendence Trade Unions’ Congress of Bulgaria the Institute for Market Economics, Association of electricity traders in Bulgaria, Bulgarian Federation of Industrial Energy Consumers, Energo-Pro Ltd., ContourGlobal Maritsa East 3 AD and others.

A work plan of the Energy Thematic Group was identified and approved at the meeting.All participants agreed on the need of analyzing the risks to Bulgarian energy. An analysis of the real deficit in the energy system will be prepared and presented during the next meeting of the Energy Thematic Group.  The rules for operation of the balancing market as to be effective for all participants will be also reviewed.

All proposals made and problems identified the Energy Thematic Group will be discussed within Energy Board.
