Minister Radev participated in the second round of the Strategic dialogue between Bulgaria and the United States
Within the framework of the second high-level Strategic dialogue between Bulgaria and the United States, held at the U.S. State Department, Energy Minister Rumen Radev had a meeting with Assistant Secretary of State for Energy Resources Geoffrey Payatt. During the event Minister Radev presented the main developments for our energy sector until 2050. The major challenges in the region were outlined, along with the high importance of initiatives to ensure short-term stability through energy connectivity and cooperation, and also prospects for long-term sustainability through the advance of new capacities and energy infrastructure. Both sides confirmed their interest in joint initiatives in nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, deployment of combined use of RES and energy storage capacities, as well as interconnectivity in the region in terms of natural gas and electricity supplies.
