Minister Nikolov: Today Europe needs to enhance cooperation with the countries of the Caspian region

More than ever today, in the context of a war in Ukraine and a ceased supply of natural gas, Europe needs to enhance cooperation with the countries of the Caspian region. This said Energy Minister Alexander Nikolov, who participated in the Energy Week in Baku, Azerbaijan. As part of the thematic events is the 27th edition of the Energy Forum, involving the Energy Minister of Azerbaijan the Parviz Shahbazov, the Energy Minister of Romania, Virgil Daniel Popescu, the Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development of Moldova, Andrei Spinu, the Deputy Minister of Energy of Turkey, Alparslan Bayraktar, representatives of the European Commission and the US State Department, and others. The main topics of discussions during the Forum are related to energy transformation.

According to Minister Nikolov, Azerbaijan has proven to be one of the most reliable energy partners of our country for many years. Our cooperation is particularly valuable at a time when the diversification of natural gas supply sources in Europe is a matter of utmost importance, the energy minister stressed.
